What Do You Have?

Exodus 4:1-3..Moses answered, “What if they do not believe me or listen to me and say, ‘The Lord did not appear to you’?”

2 Then the Lord said to him, “What is that in your hand?”

“A staff,” he replied.

3 The Lord said, “Throw it on the ground.”(NIV)

You are welcome to the second half of the year.

This month, we are going to talk on what I’ve titled “WHAT DO YOU HAVE” taking our text from Exodus 3 and 4,1 Samuel 17.

There are some things in you that you’ve been carrying for so long that you don’t know God is going to make use of them or some things you do naturally and God will place a demand on them.

Moses and David were doing what they knew to do (naturally) when the Lord sent them on assignment (3:1,1Sam. 17:34) so do not be idle, for that is where you will be located.

In any situation in which you are or whatever you find yourself doing, do it right.

Moses was able to lead the Israelites because he had already taken charge of the flock; it seems natural to him to keep the flock not knowing God was watching his service (diligence).

David was able to conquer Goliath because he had been able to kill a lion and a bear with his staff; he was just doing it naturally not knowing what lies ahead of him.

Mind you, these two examples were the people of less qualification- David was said to be ruddy in appearance 1 Sam 17:42,a small boy even his family didn’t reckon with him, Moses was not eloquent enough to be a chief speaker Exodus 4:10, yet he was qualified.

All the things in you that you see as a weakness are not, they are just the right credentials for you, and this will let people know that God has called you and is with you. So do not look down on yourself, another you is a counterfeit.

Whatever your hand findeth to do, do it and it shall prosper (Amen)

Till we meet next month, remain blessed.

SHALOM.
